Privacy Policy
CTY Housing, Inc. (“CTY Housing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit our website (ctyhousing.com), interact with us through our services, or communicate with us. This policy is provided in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, “CCPA”), the California Invasion of Privacy Act (“CIPA”), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (“CalOPPA”). This Privacy Policy was last updated on October 23, 2026.
The CCPA generally applies to for-profit businesses that do business in California and meet at least one threshold: gross annual revenue over $25 million, subject to annual adjustment; buying, selling, or sharing personal information of 100,000 or more California residents or households; or deriving 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing California residents’ personal information. CTY Housing may not currently meet these thresholds, but we voluntarily follow CCPA principles as a best practice and provide the rights and choices described below.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information, depending on how you interact with us: identifiers, such as your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or business address, and online identifiers; internet or other electronic network activity information, such as browsing history, IP address, device information, and cookie information; professional or employment-related information that clients or prospective clients provide; commercial information about services or engagements; geolocation information, such as approximate location inferred from an IP address; and inferences drawn from this information.
We collect personal information from you directly, including through our contact form, email, phone, SMS opt-in, or other communications; automatically from your browser or device when you use ctyhousing.com; and from third-party sources, such as social media platforms or public sources, when available and permitted by law.
CTY Housing does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA. If you voluntarily provide information that may be sensitive, we use it only for the purpose for which you provide it and as permitted by law.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes: to provide project management, feasibility analysis, financial packaging, loan underwriting, policy analysis, and related consulting services; respond to inquiries and requests; communicate with you by email, SMS, phone, or other requested channels; operate, maintain, and improve ctyhousing.com; comply with legal, regulatory, contractual, and professional obligations; and detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to security incidents, fraud, and other misuse.
Disclosure of Personal Information
CTY Housing does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the preceding 12 months, we have not sold or shared personal information for those purposes.
We may disclose personal information for business purposes to service providers and contractors that help us host and secure our website, process contact forms, send email or SMS messages, provide information technology support, or perform analytics; to government agencies, courts, or regulators when required by law or to protect rights; and to professional advisors, such as attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors. The categories of personal information disclosed may include identifiers, internet or electronic network activity, professional or employment-related information, commercial information, geolocation information, and inferences.
No mobile information or text messaging opt-in data is shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. A service provider may process a phone number or consent record solely to transmit messages or maintain the messaging program on our behalf.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, responding to inquiries, documenting SMS consent and opt-outs, maintaining business and financial records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting systems, and complying with legal obligations.
Retention periods depend on the category and sensitivity of the information, the nature of our relationship with you, and legal or business needs. We generally retain contact and inquiry information while needed to respond and maintain appropriate business records, SMS consent and opt-out records as needed to document compliance, and website logs for the period needed for security and operations.
Your California Privacy Rights Under the CCPA
California residents have the right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it. Subject to exceptions, you also have the right to delete personal information we collected from you and to ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. CTY Housing does not sell or share personal information for that purpose. You may also limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information when a business uses it beyond the purposes permitted by the CCPA. CTY Housing does not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your California privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, email info@ctyhousing.com, call (310) 581-3631, or use the contact form at ctyhousing.com. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and locate your records. We use information provided for verification only for that purpose and do not request more information than reasonably necessary. We generally respond to a verifiable request within 45 calendar days. If more time is reasonably necessary, we may extend the response period by an additional 45 days and will notify you. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf by providing your signed permission and information reasonably necessary to verify the agent’s authority; we may also ask you to confirm the authorization directly.
Opt-Out Preference Signals
CTY Housing honors valid opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You can enable GPC in a supported browser or through a browser extension. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, no sale or sharing opt-out is generally required, but we will continue to honor GPC signals if our practices change.
Tracking Technologies and CIPA Compliance
We use cookies and similar technologies, including pixels or tags, to operate ctyhousing.com, remember preferences, maintain security, understand website use, and improve our services. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings and, if available, through the Cookie Preferences banner or link in the footer section at the bottom of the site. Disabling cookies may affect some website features.
We may use third-party analytics tools, such as Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our website. We do not use session replay tools or wiretapping technologies. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or sell or share it for that purpose.
California is an all-party-consent state for recording confidential communications under the CIPA, including California Penal Code sections 631 and 632. CTY Housing does not record telephone calls or online communications without consent. If our practices change, we will provide notice and obtain any consent required before recording or monitoring a confidential communication.
We do not currently use information to track consumers over time across third-party websites for targeted advertising, and we do not treat browser Do Not Track signals as a separate opt-out mechanism. We honor GPC signals as described above. Other parties may collect information through tools operating on our website only as described in this policy and their own notices.
Children’s Privacy
CTY Housing does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and delete it when appropriate.
Text Messaging (SMS)
CTY Housing, Inc. may send informational text messages (SMS/MMS) related to our services, such as appointment reminders, project updates and responses to your inquiries. We only text phone numbers that have been provided to us directly with consent, for example when you text our number first, give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts over the phone or in person, or provide it on a signed intake or service form.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance. You can also contact us at (310) 581-3631 or info@ctyhousing.com .
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties. Information may be shared with service providers who help us deliver text messages, only as needed to provide this service, or as required by law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, or legal requirements.
